“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” - Albert Einstein
This is Aycan Gulez, your host (LinkedIn | GitHub | Mastodon). I’m currently the CTO at Faradai. I lead the development of our carbon accounting and energy management software platforms, which are used by a number of mid to large-size companies to monitor and reduce their energy consumption. I like to think that I’m doing my part in saving mother Earth from an impending climate calamity.
Why the name “Lack of Imagination” you might ask. I’ve noticed that the more I think I know about a subject, the more confident I get, and the less likely I become to entertain alternative views. This, in my opinion, leads to a dangerous state of mind: a lack of imagination. So, I chose to name this site “Lack of Imagination” to remember that the world is big and there are so many things I don’t know, no matter how much I think I know.
I’m writing this blog to share my views about subjects on which I consider myself at least somewhat qualified to comment. Hopefully, some of the entries on this site will attract the attention of people who can contribute their own viewpoints.
